New YouTube Content for Clubs, Referees and Coaches

Essex Grassroots Volunteers Access Online Video Learning

Continuing Professional Development (CPDs) and club development webinars are just some of the features on the Essex County FA YouTube channel, with recent additions including the latest episode of a Coach Interview Series and a guide to the new FA Playmaker Course.

Individual videos, as well as longer-running features, can be accessed via the ‘EssexFA’ portal, providing access to an extended wealth of online learning content. Members of the grassroots community are benefiting from development opportunities, at a convenient time, from the comfort of their own homes.

By visiting, you can watch Episode 7 of the Coach Interview Series with Dr Anna Stodter, Senior Lecturer in Sports Coaching & PE at Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge). Andrew Crowl and the Coach Education Team discuss common learning myths, research supporting coach development and how some of this can be applied in a grassroots coaching setting.

Coaches can glimpse into popular courses, plus educational support, while safeguarding, marketing, community engagement and funding videos are also included. You can additionally find intriguing referee scenarios and interviews with ambitious Essex referees.

Plus The FA have recently launched their own ‘FA Learning’ portal, which has been set-up to offer coaches a new way to brush-up on new ideas. Open to any coach, at any level, it provides a range of content across various ‘playlists’ and the activities are created by FA Education staff up and down the country, featuring interviews with leading coaches.
