Disability Training for Clubs: Journey to Inclusion Event

England Football Workshop is Coming to Essex

Are you ready to open your doors and make your football club more inclusive? On Monday 5th February, England Football’s ‘Disability Training for Clubs: Journey to Inclusion’ Workshop will be heading to Bartlett Park in Wickford.

Attendees will benefit from a packed agenda, covering a number of disability-related topics, starting at 6:30pm and running for a total of three hours. By attending the free workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to:

* create an action plan to make your club more inclusive
* gain insight into some of the barriers disabled people face when accessing football
network with other like-minded clubs
* hear real-life case studies of clubs who have successfully grown to become more inclusive
* discover ways in which you can engage disabled people at your club

Essex County FA Equality & Inclusion Officer, Milly Morgan, is looking forward to a productive evening, explaining: “This is a great opportunity for clubs in Essex to come together to create a more inclusive environment whilst also hearing about how they can offer football for everyone within their local communities.”

“Developed by The FA, this Continuing Professional Development opportunity covers a number of key topics which clubs often have questions about when starting to offer disability football. Additionally, it will enable committees and coaches to network with other individuals who are also on their journey to inclusion.”
