Female Football Community Event

We recently ran a Female Football Community Networking Event.

We recently hosted a Female Coach Development Group Network Event, in partnership with Sport England.

Essex FA held a Female Coach Devleopment Network Event last week, at Chelmer Valley High School. The session was led by Sharon Muxworthy, a Regional Coach Development Officer, Emma Burden, an Essex FA Football Development Officer and Dani Warnes, Head of Essex FA Regional Talent Club.

The event began with Sharon running a practical session for the present female coaches to observe and ask questions. Sharon ran a training session with Springfield U13 Girls, showcasing different ways to keep players engaged and how they can be challenged to use their initiative in training and how this can be transferred into game situations.

Our Female Football Community observing the session

After the practical session had finished, the attendees were taken inside for an opportunity to discuss the session and how they can use the drills to influence their sessions. This also gave the women in attendance the chance to network and speak to other female coaches, getting insight from all different levels and all different ages groups.

During this discussion, the female coaches were given the opportunity to learn more about each other, their roles and the clubs they coach at, as well as their reasons for doing so. This gives them insight into why female coaches are in the game and the different age groups and pathways that they coach.

Our Female Football Community is a group that caters for females already working within the grassroots game, as well as those who are interested in either getting back into the game or looking to get involved for the first time.
