We operate alongside The FA make regulations to ensure match officials operate in as fair, competent and safe a manner as possible. We are responsible for the administration of referees registered with us.

Our knowledge of refereeing in Essex enables us to assist match officials in carrying out their functions under these regulations, which fully embrace our Equality, Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults at Risk Policies and Regulations.

SAFEGUARDING IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY

Whatever your involvement in football, you have a responsibility to make our game as safe and enjoyable as possible for everyone.

This is particularly true if your role as a referee involves officiating matches where children and young people under the age of 18 are playing. It also applies if as you are officiating alongside under-18 referees and assistant referees.
