BBC Essex Senior Cup Quarter Final Draw

An intriguing draw with four ties to take place on or before the 4th February

The BBC Essex Senior Cup Quarter Final draw has been made and broadcast on BBC Essex this evening.

Just two rounds stand between the remaining teams and the final, with teams from the Football League and National League still in the competition. Due to some unfortunate weather, there were three postponements this week which leaves those ties to now be played Tuesday 17th January.

The draw was broadcast on BBC Essex this evening, with Glenn Speller drawing the home teams and Essex FA Director Barry Fitzgerald drawing the away teams. These ties are due to be played on or before the 4th February.

There is a potential ‘Essex Derby’ on the cards, with Colchester United being drawn at home to the winner of Southend United vs Braintree Town. Current holders Billericay Town have an away tie against Hornchurch, in an all Isthmian Premier League tie.

Chelmsford City, who currently sit 4th in the Vanarama National League South, will be at home against the winners of Witham Town vs East Thurrock United. The final tie will see Canvey Island, who dismissed last seasons runners up Bowers & Pitsea on Tuesday’s only surviving fixture, at home against Concord Rangers or Grays Athletic.
