The penultimate round of the competition has been drawn, with the ties due to be played by the 25th February

The draw for the BBC Essex Senior Cup Semi-Final has been drawn and broadcast tonight.

We're in the latter stages of the competition as teams look to secure their place in the final at Colchester United's JobServe Stadium on Tuesday 21st March. We've got one confirmed semi-finalist and three quarter-final ties still to be played. Hornchurch are currently the only side who have confirmed their semi-final place, with the quarter-final ties between Colchester United vs Braintree Town, Chelmsford City vs Witham Town and Canvey Island vs Grays Athletic yet to be played.

BBC Essex Sport's Glenn Speller and Essex County FA's Mark Wallis assisted with tonight's draw, with Glenn drawing the home sides and Mark the away teams.

The winner of the quarter-final tie between Canvey Island and Grays Athletic will be rewarded with a home tie against Hornchurch, who confirmed their semi-final status with a win against last seasons winners Billericay Town.

The winner of Chelmsford City or Witham Town, which is due to be played on Monday 6th February, will have a home tie against the winner of Colchester United vs Braintree Town, which is scheduled for Tuesday 7th February.
