Vincitori are the Essex Sunday Veterans Cup Champions!
Goals from Kalebaila, Bellingham, Smith and Shave for Vincitori were enough to see off Rochford Town and take the Essex Sunday Veterans Cup home.
The first real chance of note came just before the 15 minute mark for Vincitori, Warner heading a deep cross just wide at the back post. Shortly after, Rochford had their first chance, Hayes getting on the end of a long pass inside the box, but the resulting shot was wide of the target.
Vincitori had another chance to take the lead in the 27th minute, a Channon cross from the left finding Sanders in the box, but his header went well over the bar. In the 39th minute, Rochford ‘keeper Edde did well to push a Bellingham free kick over the bar from the right side of the pitch.
A couple of minutes later, Vincitori took a deserved lead. Sanders with some great work down the left flank before crossing it to Kalebaila, who controlled, turned and then finished well into the bottom right-hand corner. Right before half time, Vincitori doubled their lead. A headed back pass inside the box was intercepted by Bellingham, who did well to round the ‘keeper and tap home to send Vincitori into the break two goals to the good.
Vincitori started the second half quickly, adding a third to their tally in the 47th minute. Ryan Smith took aim from all of 30 yards and the ball flew in off the bar, albeit with a slight deflection on the way through.
In the 67th minute, it was four. Another long range effort, this time from Shave, swerved into the right side of the net to all but seal the cup final. Vincitori did try to score again, but a brilliant double save from Rochford ‘keeper Edde, who saved an initial header down to his right before getting something on the rebound too, kept it to 4-0.
There was still time for a chance of a consolation for Rochford, but Vincitori ‘keeper Sumner denied Coyte well and the resulting corner was flicked wide, leaving the game to finish 4-0.
