BBC Essex Womens Cup Quarter-Final Draw
The BBC Essex Womens Cup continues, with the Quarter-Finals being broadcast on Thursday 24th November.
This round sees the four sides who play at Tier 5 and above of the Women’s structure join the draw, with Billericay Town and holders Hashtag United from the Women’s National League and Bowers & Pitsea and Harlow Town from the top division of the Eastern Region League entering the competition.
Joining them are four more sides from the Essex County Women’s League who have worked through four rounds to reach this stage. BBC Essex Sport’s Glenn Speller was responsible for drawing the home sides, while the away teams were drawn by Essex FA’s Technical Lead for Female Pathway Emma Burden.
With the Quarter-Final draw having taken place, it is also important to note that the BBC Essex Womens Cup Final will now take place on Thursday 13th April 2023, to avoid clashing with the Women’s Finalissimia between England and Brazil.
Current holders Hashtag United have been drawn against last season’s semi-finalists Bowers & Pitsea, whereas 2022’s beaten finalists Billericay Town have been drawn away to the winners of Billericay Town Development vs Stanway Pegasus.
Another of last season’s semi-finalists Harlow Town have been drawn against the winner of Stanway Rovers vs Barking and Hutton, 6-0 winners at home to Hutton Reserves in the last round will be at home to Hashtag United Women Reserves.
The ties are all due to take place on or before Sunday 15th January. Competition information, plus the latest fixtures and results can be found at www.essexfa.com and by following @EssexCountyFA on Twitter and by searching for ‘Essex Football’ on Facebook.
