A Facilities & Investment Officer position has become available within our Development Team who, since 2000, have helped to secure circa £33million to improve grassroots facilities for players, clubs, leagues and other football facility providers in the county.

With our plans to continue to support investment through Local Football Facility Plans, the new member of the Development Team will play a major part in delivering this, ensuring Essex clubs and partners are able to access advice, support and funding. We've played an important role in strategically planning, developing and delivering facilities for grassroots football since The FA, The Premier League, Sport England and Government formed the Football Foundation. The successful candidate will assist with grant applications and signposting to the local and national opportunities available.

The National Football Facilities Strategy sets out to improve the following types of facilities: grass pitches, 3G football turf pitches, changing rooms and pavilions, small-sided spaces. The new post-holder will be responsible for supporting the Head of Development & Investment.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about grassroots football facilities and has the ability to work with a range of stakeholders to apply for funding and improve the facility stock across Essex.
