Cup draws have been confirmed for two Essex County FA charity competitions as entrants into the 2022/23 Tolleshunt D'Arcy Memorial Cup and the Essex Thames-Side Trophy find out who they will face, with the deadline for club County Cups also coming up.
The Tolleshunt D'Arcy Cup is a traditional charity invitational competition to raise money for the Essex County FA Benevolent Fund. Meanwhile, the winners of the invitational Thames-Side Trophy win a magnificent trophy, with all proceeds going to charity. Eight entries have been received for this season’s D’Arcy Cup and ten for the Thames-Side Trophy.
Entries into Essex’s County Cups for clubs can still be made until Sunday 31st July as affiliated clubs have a growing number of competitions to compete in as they bid for local glory. Clubs can enter as part of their affiliation for 2022/23 or, for clubs who have already affiliated, entry can be arranged via E-Mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are 21 County Cups for adult and youth, male and female teams to participate in, and BBC Essex kindly support the promotion of the Senior, Saturday Premier and Women's Cups. Players from under 12s right the way up to veterans football are accommodated in addition to five separate female cups. 13 adult County Cups are split between Saturday and Sunday football.
Keep up-to-date with all the fixtures and results from these competitions during the season in the 'Cups & Competitions' section above. Information is also shared via our Twitter account, @EssexCountyFA, and on the ‘EssexFootball’ Facebook page.
