The highly-anticipated draws for the Semi-Finals of the BBC Essex Senior and Saturday Premier Cups were broadcast on BBC Essex on Thursday (3rd February), generating some fascinating ties as the remaining clubs get closer to a prestige final.

As all of our competitions progress towards the crucial stages, Victoria Polley and Rob Jelly from competition-supporters, BBC Essex, were the special guests to help out with the draw proceedings, picking out the home and away teams respectively.

Senior Cup

In the Senior Cup, two Quarter-Finals have been played already, with two more to complete. Billericay Town have already earned their place after winning 1-0 against Hashtag United on Tuesday night at New Lodge, earning them the right to travel to Barking or Concord Rangers, who meet next Tuesday (8th February) at Mayesbrook Park.

Meanwhile, Bowers & Pitsea, victorious at home, 3-0, against Braintree Town in midweek, will entertain Coggeshall Town or Brentwood Town, who go head-to head at West Street on Tuesday. These Senior Cup ties are due to take place on or before 19th February.

Saturday Premier Cup

Three Quarter-Finals have been completed so far, with one more to wrap-up this Saturday between Tiptree Heath and Woodford East. The winners now know who they’ll face if they’re victorious, with Clapton Community waiting to host after they defeated Manford Way 3-2 at home.

In the other semi-final Sungate, who overcame Basildon Town at home after extra time in the last eight, have been rewarded with another match on home turf against Catholic United, 2-1 winners against Stanway Pegasus last time out. These semi-finals are scheduled for 5th March.
