Details have been released for a new and exciting opportunity in the delivery of high-quality physical education for children of all age groups across England.

England Football are committed to supporting the development of physical education, helping children to develop a love for being active as well as improving physical competence, encouraging health and wellbeing and inspiring future stars.

As a result, England Football are delighted to launch a range of funded Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities and courses for the 2021/22 academic year, suitable for teachers, trainee teachers and those involved in delivering physical education as part of a curriculum. There are several learning opportunities available:

* Online PE CPD for Teachers
* Face-to-Face PE CPD for Teachers - Part One
* Face-to-Face PE CPD for Teachers - Part Two
* Face-to-Face PE CPD for Teachers - Joint Module

The PE CPD for Teachers offer will increase confidence in the delivery of engaging, inclusive, high-quality physical education lessons through the invasion game of football.

This will be done through a variety of e-learning, expert knowledge from England Football’s PE Team and ongoing support in the form of articles, videos and resources. The intended outcomes of the course are to develop a basic knowledge, understanding and application of:

* Holistic Development 
* Mapping a PE Curriculum 
* High-Quality Teaching and Learning in PE 
* Learning Through Games

The Online PE CPD for Teachers course can be completed in the learner’s own time, entirely online. For the Face-to-Face PE CPD for Teachers offer, this is delivered in-person by England Football’s PE tutors and can be delivered as standalone modules, or as a one-day event.

Upon completion of the course, the learner will receive a digital certificate and they’ll be able to apply their learning to PE lessons and programmes as part of a wider physical education curriculum. England Football’s PE CPD for Teachers offer is expected to launch shortly.
