Survey for Clubs to Suggest Improvements

Local football clubs have the opportunity to submit their thoughts and feedback on Essex’s County Cup Competitions following the launch of a new online survey which forms part of a comprehensive review.

Aligned to the Essex County FA ‘Moving Forward’ Strategy 2018-21, an initial ‘working group’ meeting took place in January which commissioned a full consultation with clubs, leading to the production of a survey which all teams, whether they entered County Cups or not in 2019/20, are able to complete. Responses are welcomed until Thursday 31st October.

Amongst other recommendations, the initial meeting suggested an extension to the entry deadline from the 1st to the 31st July in order to maximise potential participants, a key strand of the Moving Forward Strategy. There was also the removal of a cap on the number of teams within a club able to enter a competition. These alterations led to the addition of 195 teams to the entry total.

The results will ultimately enable the working group to identify further trends and inform their decision-making to make the County Cups as appealing and accessible as possible in the future. Analysis will then take place before the end of 2019 with a view to formulating further improvements and recommendations, if necessary, in the New Year.

The County Cups Consultation Survey can be completed via the links below until Thursday 31st October. Further information on grassroots Essex football can also be found on Twitter by @EssexCountyFA and by searching for ‘EssexFootball’ on Facebook.
