Football Development Officer Vacancy

Development Officer Vacancy at the Essex County FA

Could You Enhance Football in Essex’s London Boroughs?

A Football Development Officer position has become available at our County Office, and we're looking for a motivated individual to help develop projects which support clubs, leagues, volunteers and wider partners as part of our 2018-21 ‘Moving Forward’ Strategy.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include enhancing grassroots football provision, with a specific focus on the local authority areas of Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Newham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest. Applications for the position, based in Chelmsford, are being welcomed until midnight on Monday 4th November.

Whilst helping to increase participation and make the game available to all, the new Development Officer will ensure links are in place between affiliated and recreational pathways as well as strengthening relationships with clubs and leagues. This vacancy is not a coaching role.

When identifying a suitable individual for the position, we will look for experience and knowledge of grassroots football and The FA’s National Game Strategy. An ability to manage a diverse work programme and multiple priorities is also a requirement, as well as good communication and project-planning skills.

A job description can be found below. The closing date is Monday 4th November. Please complete the Application Form and the ‘Section 12 Equality & Monitoring Form’ and return them via E-Mail to recruitment@essexfa.com.

We promote equality and diversity in employment and welcome applicants from all parts of the community.
