Girls Can Access Essex Player Development Centre Trials

Under 10s to 16s Players Invited to Try Talent Pathway

Highly-driven and committed female Under 10s to 16s players are invited to participate in the Essex County FA and ‘She Can Play’ Player Development Centre (PDC) Trials on Monday 23rd and Monday 30th September at Noak Hill Sports Complex in Romford.

PDC players are part of the FA Elite Player Pathway where the identification and the development of players is key. This ensures appropriate opportunities are in place to fulfil player development needs as part of a 30-week football training programme which complements existing grassroots team involvement. The trials will take place on the 3G pitch at Noak Hill Road.

The PDC is led by partners She Can Play, and last year’s trials attracted 195 girls across the four age groups, with 80 players successfully obtaining a place. It is now heading into its ninth season, featuring a technical programme of training sessions once a week.

This year the PDC are also delighted to announce the introduction of a unique goalkeeper-specific training programme delivered by England Under 15s Goalkeeping Coach, Nikita Runnacles. The dates and times for each age group’s trials are as follows:

Under 10s: Monday 23rd September, 6:00-7:30pm (5:30pm registration)

Under 12s: Monday 30th September, 6:00-7:30pm (5:30pm registration)

Under 14s: Monday 23rd September, 7:45-9:15pm (7:15pm registration)

Under 16s: Monday 30th September, 7:45-9:15pm (7:15pm registration)

Click here to register a place. A new Under 8s Player Development Centre is also forming in 2019/20, and parents/guardians can contact info@shecanplay.uk to register interest. This is also the E-Mail Address to find out more about the other age group trials.
