An Under 16s Assistant Coach, a Sports Therapist and a Physical Performance Coach are required by the Essex County FA Girls Regional Talent Club (RTC), with applications required for the Colchester-based roles by Monday 30th July.
The RTC is designed to create opportunities for girls to progress up the Football Talent Pathway into regional and national football camps and teams. All these positions will be effective during training and matchdays between August and April.
Under 16s Assistant Coach
This role involves providing high-quality coaching and support and implementing a training and games programme in-line with Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) guidelines, liaising with the Head Coach to produce session plans and player assessments.
Providing assessment and treatment and the functional rehabilitation of injured players are crucial in this role. The individual will have a clinical decision-making process to assess the fitness of players and whether they can train or play. Education on injury prevention will be key, as will ensuring comprehensive communication is undertaken with regard to injury status and rehabilitation.
Physical Performance Coach
This individual will design, implement and evaluate sport-specific, age-appropriate fitness programmes for football. Support with player education and exercises they can complete outside of the centre will be important, as will ensuring the overall welfare of all RTC players.
