Ahead of season 2024/25, we’ll be hosting two online sessions to update the grassroots community on the removal of heading from match play for the Under 7s to Under 9s age groups.

Details will also be shared on ‘sin bin’ and Laws of the Game changes. Please ensure this is circulated to all Under 7s to Under 9s managers/coaches within your club. Follow the links below to sign-up (both sessions will run from 6:30-8:00pm):

club affiliation

The club affiliation window is now open ahead of the 2024/25 season. Please note that there are a number of new and existing mandatory requirements for coaches/managers which need to be addressed/in-place ahead of teams being affiliated.

All coaches/managers within youth football must have an in-date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and an in-date online Safeguarding Children Qualification (£30). All coaches/managers in open-age football must have completed the online Player Welfare in Open-Age Football Course (free of charge). All courses can be accessed via the link below.

club coach development

We’re pleased to announce the opening of our June Application window for the ‘Your Club’ 2024/25 Coach Development programme. This provides clubs with the opportunity to invest in the development of their coaches, helping to create more engaging and inspirational experiences through a bespoke workshop offer, delivered by our dedicated team of coach developers.

The booking window is now open… but it closes on Sunday 7th July. We’ve noted a need for clubs to be able to better support their workforce outside of the traditional learning offer of courses and qualifications, not only to upskill their coaches and players, but also to provide important social and networking opportunities. This will help coaches to navigate the rewarding, yet often challenging, environment of coaching.
