Equality Standard Update

Referee, Coach and Player Surveys Support New Strategy

Responses Also Contribute Towards Inclusion Projects

Referees, coaches, managers and players have a new opportunity to play a crucial part in future strategic grassroots Essex football projects by completing a short, online survey.

We're currently consulting with key stakeholders across the game to help shape a new three-year strategy up to 2024. This survey process, accessible via the links below, will help inform about localised football priorities in Essex.

The short surveys are split into sections, discussing elements including development programmes, as well as an equality audit. The audit will help to better understand how we can tailor services and meet the needs of local communities. Feedback is anonymous and it takes just a few minutes to complete the questions.

Inclusion is a crucial part of existing and new strategies, and the data collected in these surveys will continue to evidence underrepresented groups not participating in football so equality action plans can be refreshed. They will also help to develop future football inclusion projects and assist in completion of an equality profile of stakeholders.

To complete the surveys, please follow the links below. Players, referees and coaches aged under 18 should complete the survey alongside a parent/guardian. New and information is also shared on Twitter by @EssexCountyFA and by searching for ‘EssexFootball’ on Facebook.
