Top Premier League referee, David Coote, will be providing practical tips, advice and stories for Essex referees on Monday 21st December when he takes part in a special online CPD (Continuing Professional Development) session.

The webinar (from 6:30-9:00pm) will include plenty of useful content, including a ‘Question & Answer’ with David and an update from the Essex County FA Referees Department. There will also be a prize giveaway, with a full referee kit and training tops up for grabs.

David is currently a Select Group One and FIFA referee. County FA Referee Development Officer, Lukas Wood, is delighted to be able to stage the session, explaining: “It’s important to learn from people like David as, similar to all referees, he started on the local park pitches and has progressed to officiating at the highest level of English and European football.”

Ongoing CPD is important for development purposes, and this webinar will be beneficial for all grassroots referees as they'll be able to hear from one of the current top-level match officials in the country. Some of the advice and tips may come in handy for their future games.
