Strategic Position Available at the Essex County FA

A Senior Referee Development Officer position has become available at our County Office in Chelmsford, with applications required by Wednesday 13th February.

The successful applicant will manage the Referees Department and contribute to the delivery and implementation of our ‘Moving Forward’ Strategy 2018-21, with the aim of providing more development opportunities and to enhance the support and guidance to the referee workforce. After nine years, current Senior RDO, James Lisher, will shortly be relocating to the USA.

Their responsibilities will include the strategic development of referee opportunities across all forms and formats of the game, involving mini-soccer, youth, adult, male, female, disability and Futsal. They’ll also plan and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies for referees which deliver upon County FA Key Performance Indicators.
