Chelmsford to Host FA Grassroots Football Roadshow

Interactive Event Calls in to Essex this May

Members of the Essex football community can interact with national and local development staff at a special FA Grassroots Football Roadshow event at Chelmsford City FC on Thursday 30th May which will listen to the needs of clubs.

This May, The FA is coming out to local communities to talk with clubs about the challenges they face and the support on offer. They’re staging eight regional roadshows aimed at clubs and volunteers who make grassroots football happen across the country.

As football’s national governing body in England, The FA, work with the Essex County FAs to support clubs to be the best places for people to play and enjoy football. They understand the challenges they face, and research suggests the club landscape in England is changing.

The partnership aims to deliver relevant services to support clubs into the future. Anyone who takes part in grassroots football is welcome to attend the events and the eight roadshows build to a grand finale in Chelmsford as follows:

* Newcastle (Tuesday 7th May)
* Leeds (Wednesday 8th May)
* Cambridge (Tuesday 14th May)
* Birmingham (Wednesday 15th May)
* Exeter (Tuesday 21st May)
* Manchester (Wednesday 23rd May)
* London (Tuesday 28th May)
* Chelmsford (Thursday 30th May)

National and local County FA staff will be in attendance from 6:00pm, providing a great chance to ask questions and find how opportunities will benefit clubs, players and volunteers to succeed. Attendees can join in to find out how latest research is shaping the club landscape and have the chance to help governing bodies shape opportunities for the future.
