The Essex County FA, in conjuction with the Football Association, is reponsible for ensuring that the rules and regulations concerned with running football in the county are observed by officials, clubs and players off the pitch as well as on it.

The various rules and regulations are contained within the Essex County FA Handbook, which is distributed to clubs, leagues and referees each autumn. However, for quick reference, you can now find the relevant sections in PDF format in the Documents section below.
