Two Courses
operated by the Essex County F.A. currently have plenty
of spaces available for interested parties to apply for
during August and September, namely a Safeguarding
Children Workshop and First Aid for Sport Course.
Monday 4th August sees the beginning of the Safeguarding
Children Workshop, which offers an intriguing insight
into current issues in that regard, taking place at
Shrub End in Colchester between 7:00 and 10:00pm for
just £25. Meanwhile, The Football Association's First
Aid for Sport Course is aimed at personnel acting as
managers, coaches, trainers or therapists for amateur
and youth clubs and for teachers responsible for school
teams.
The Southend-based Course costs £95 and begins' its
eight-week stint on Monday 1st September. It is designed
for all levels of football and other sports and will
provide participants with the opportunity to gain
fundamental knowledge and skills in order to recognise
and manage common injuries sustained in football and
other sports, as well as administering immediate
"non-emergency" first aid and care. It will
also provide an individual with the skills required to
identify injuries and provide a level of first aid to
prevent these injuries worsening by applying these
principles on the pitch side. |
