LONDON A.P.S.A   0 - 4   ETON MANOR

Anton Stevenson completed a hat-trick as Eton Manor added three late goals to their first half lead to see-off the gallant effort of London A.P.S.A. in the First Round of the Senior Cup.

Leading thanks to Stevenson's sharp turn and shot on 32 minutes, Manor dominated the majority of play at the Terence MacMillan Stadium, but a resilient A.P.S.A. rearguard kept the result in doubt until the visitors raced clear with three goals in the final four minutes to clinch a resounding victory.

Manor could have snatched an early advantage on 11 minutes, tall defender Neil Barrett latching onto a neat cut-back before firing inches over the top from fifteen yards. A.P.S.A., though, created two good openings with the game still deadlocked. Firstly Shamraz Darr shot just over from the edge of the area after a fine run before a neat Nesta Qopoja through ball set up Darr for a second opportunity but he scuffed his shot into the gloves of Chamberlain Franklin.

The home side soon regretted their spurned chances as Barrett knocked a high ball into the path of Stevenson who, with his back to goal, swivelled and fired home a low drive from six yards to put the visitors on their way.

After the break, the traffic became one-way as Manor were frustrated in their attempts to kill-off the hosts. Barrett headed a Ricardo Amatio corner wide of the post two minutes after the interval and three minutes later only a great goal-line clearance from Joel Gallimore prevented Jamie Wallace from doubling the lead.

Stevenson was denied by a brave block from A.P.S.A. stopper Fahim Shah and also hit a low volley wide of the upright before the second goal arrived on 87 minutes. Stevenson's corner was nodded-on by Barrett for substitute Isamel Dembelie to stab into the roof of the net from close range.

Stevenson then notched two quick-fire goals to complete his trio and a four-goal triumph for Manor. A low centre from Charlie Tarten was helped-on by Dembelie to the hot-shot who poked the ball past Shah before Stevenson completed a mazy run by rounding Shah and slotting into a gaping goal.
