Fans of AFC Hornchurch and Colchester United will be able to look forward to a pre-season 2010/11 Essex Senior Cup Final supported by BBC Essex due to the success of both clubs in seeking a play-off place from their respective leagues, which has meant allocating a date during this campaign has proved impossible.
The initial attempt to play this showpiece event between the Ryman League Premier Division side and a team from the Coca-Cola Football League One outfit was postponed due to a severely waterlogged pitch and a new date is yet to be confirmed. Tickets purchased for the previously scheduled game on Monday 29th March will not be accepted, under any circumstances, when the final is played next season.
