Has your keeper spent more time in the back of his net than his six-yard box? Is he more likely to catch a cold than a cross? Or is he your top scorer, on an incredible run of clean sheets or obsessed with his pre-match rituals?
From Jim Montgomery's stunning save against Sunderland in '73, to Dave Beasant’s penalty stop at Wembley through to David Seaman's last-gasp grasp against Sheffield United, great goalkeeping saves have played as important a part in the history of The FA Cup as the goals scored.
This season, energy company and FA Cup sponsor E.ON is celebrating the nation's unsung goalkeeping heroes at all levels of the game. E.ON will be scouring the Country's parks to uncover the nation's most remarkable amateur 'keepers and offering a series of coaching master classes to help develop and hone their shot-stopping skills.
We're asking you to nominate your local team's keeper and tell us why he or she deserves to be put through their paces by a professional and, in doing so, you'll put yourself in with a chance of winning tickets to this season’s FA Cup Final in May!
To enter, just tell us, in no more than 100 words, why your 'keeper deserves a goalkeeping master class and send it, along with your name and contact details, to competitions@eongreatsaves.com. Entries accompanied by a photograph are encouraged.
